A native of the UK, Ian arrived in Vancouver in 1988 and immediately became involved in the dynamic Canadian business world. While living in Canada, Ian gained over 20 years experience working in electronics distribution, and supporting small to medium business enterprises. During this time Ian worked in all facets of a multi-million dollar company taking on roles from operations and product flow management to sales, marketing and finally senior management. Through his experience, and in his role as VP International Sales and Marketing, Ian worked with teams covering three continents around the world and was instrumental in the sale of a major division of this business. As a result, Ian fully understands the process and attention to detail needed to successfully complete a business sale.
Ian has always had a focus on the small to medium business entrepreneur, and learned quickly the importance of value added service and support required for business growth. From Europe to Latin America, it was evident that no matter where you are in the world or whatever your business focus and size, you can never put a price on the value of a key strategic partner. During his busy business life Ian completed his Marketing Diploma, is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) and is a licensed Commercial Realtor. Outside of Ian’s involvement in the business community in Vancouver, he is also a keen sportsman enjoying skiing, golf and soccer along with a passion for the outdoors, and all this country has to offer.
