Pino Bacinello

Pino Bacinello is President and Founder of Pacific Mergers and Acquisitions Inc. His academic background includes Electronics Engineering and Business Administration. Specific to Investment Banking and Business Brokerage, Mr. Bacinello holds mergers and acquisitions industry-specific designations as a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI), Mergers and Acquisitions Master Intermediary (M&AMI), Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser (CMEA), and a Certified Senior Business Analyst (CSBA).

As a serial entrepreneur, Mr. Bacinello has owned over 15 businesses in 9 different industries in both Canada and South Africa over the past 46 years and has garnered much knowledge and expertise in buying, selling, developing, and restructuring of privately held businesses. Through his own experiences, he recognizes that the process of selling or purchasing a business is a major undertaking. “There is a lot at stake, and it must be done right the first time. The alternate consequences can be not only costly, but devastating” he says.”

Mr. Bacinello’s vast knowledge of divestitures, acquisitions, mergers, and succession, has not only made him a subject matter expert, but earned him the reputation he currently enjoys as an authority on the subject, and mentor to other professionals in both Canada, the US, and abroad.

Mr. Bacinello lives with his spouse in Vancouver. He is a member of the Exit Planning Institute, as well as International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), where he continues to serve in the capacity of director, is a past Chairman of the Board of Directors and also served in several other capacities including Chairman of the International Committee, President and Founder of the Canadian IBBA Chapter, Treasurer of the IBBA, and more. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards (see awards section below). He is also a certified instructor of the IBBA and teaches on the subject of valuations and systematic processes in business brokerage.

In addition to being an equity partner in multiple business enterprises including manufacturing, retail, and technology, he is also an active member in good standing of the M&A Source, the National Equipment and Business Brokers Institute, the Better Business Bureau of British Columbia, and the Appraisal Institute of Canada. He is a co-owner of the patented “QuakeTrip” and an investor in a Private Equity Group Fund. He has co-hosted a weekly radio show on the Voice America Talk Radio Network entitled “Entrepreneurial Insights”, and has served on the board of various non-profit organizations including the Peace Arch Community Service, was a founding member and past President of the Semiahmoo Peninsula Marine Rescue Society, and was the founder and past unit leader of the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station 5 in Crescent Beach. He has served on several advisory boards of colleges and universities, and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Governance Officer for Small Business BC for several years.
