Ian is a 15+ year seasoned M&A Advisor and Business Broker. Over the years Ian has been instrumental in completing transactions ranging from smaller Main Street deals to much larger Middle Market multi-million dollar offerings.
He is a Certified Mergers and Acquisitions Professional (CM&AP), Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) and Mergers & Acquisitions Master Intermediary (M&AMI), and has been presented with the International Business Broker Association’s Outstanding Producer Award 2016 and 2017, and the Chairman’s Circle Award for 2017, 2018 and 2020. A native of the UK, Ian arrived in Vancouver in 1988 and immediately became involved in the dynamic Canadian business world.
While living in Canada, he has gained over 20 years experience working in electronics distribution, and supporting small to medium business enterprises. During this time, Ian worked in all facets of a multi-million dollar company taking on roles from Operations and Product Flow Management to Sales, Marketing, and finally senior management.
Through his experience, and his role as VP International Sales and Marketing, Ian worked with teams covering three continents around the world and was instrumental in the sale of a major division of this business. As a result, Ian fully understands the process and attention to detail needed to successfully complete a business sale.
Ian has always had a focus on the small to medium business entrepreneur, and learned quickly the importance of value added service and support required for business growth.
